The Amplify mobile companion app allows you to receive notifications direct to your mobile device, and respond to them on the go!
The app sends notifications for the following action items:
- Stage Gate Approval Requests
- Status Update Requests
- Status Report Workflow
- Dependency Approvals
- Item Approvals
This article will help you to:
- Enable the mobile app for your organization
- Download the mobile app to your device
- Sign into the mobile app
- Respond to notifications through the mobile app
Enable the mobile companion app for your organization
To allow your users to sign into the mobile app, it first needs to be enabled in the Administration section of your organization on desktop.
- Click on your Account icon.
- Select Administration.
- Go to Site Settings.
- Enable the Mobile App toggle.
- Click Save.
Download the mobile companion app to your device
The mobile app can be downloaded directly from the Google Play Store/App Store, or you can scan the QR code on your My Account page to direct you to download the app.
Download using the QR code:
On desktop:
- Click on your Account icon.
- Select My Account.
On your mobile device:
- Open your camera.
- Scan the QR code using your camera.
- Follow the provided link.
- Download the app from Google Play Store/App Store.
Sign into the mobile companion app
You can sign into the mobile app with the QR code under your My Account page, email and password or single sign-on (if it's enabled for your organization).
Sign in using the QR code
On desktop:
- Click on your Account icon.
- Select My Account.
On your mobile device:
- Open the Amplify mobile app.
- Select the Scan QR code for instant access option.
- Scan the QR code on your desktop using the device's camera (the Amplify app requires access to your device camera to perform this action).
Sign in with email and password
- Open the Amplify mobile app.
- Select Connect to my organization.
- Enter your Amplify URL and select Next.
- Select the Sign in with email and password option.
- Provide your email and password.
- Tap Sign in.
- Provide your 2FA code (the following steps will only be required if you have two factor authentication enabled).
- Tap Sign in.
Sign in with Single Sign On (SSO)
- Open the Amplify mobile app.
- Select the Single Sign On button (the text on the button will depend on what is configured for your organization).
- Follow the steps required by your single sign on configuration to sign into the mobile app.
Respond to notifications using the mobile companion app
To receive push notifications for action items, the Amplify app requires permission to send notifications to your device. You can take action on your notifications by selecting notifications directly from your notification tray, or opening the app on your device.
Once you've signed into the app you will see a list of action items that require your attention. You can take action in the following ways:
- Approve (including approval comments)
- Reject (including rejection comments)
- View details on desktop app (Note: only applies to Stage Gate Approval, Status Update Request and Status Update Approval notifications)
