Amplify is implementing a KanBan board feature in order to provide a more visual and organised method for users to manage their project tasks.
The Amplify KanBan board allows users to track the progress of tasks and manage multiple tasks from the same screen. Utilising quick task creation, status lists, and owner assignments, tasks can be rapidly deployed and executed with immediate impacts becoming realised.
A KanBan task is freely movable between lists either by dragging and dropping or altering the task's properties. Tasks can display the following attributes:

Tasks can be created or edited without leaving the screen, resulting in more efficient management. The task properties editor supports changes for all attributes (dependent on account access) and allows for additional custom attributes to be applied. |
For projects that support scheduling, tasks can hold additional attributes:

In order to support different levels of management, the Amplify KanBan board offers different ways to manipulate the view of the KanBan board. This includes minimising irrelevant lists or switching the lists to an Owner focussed layout. As with other Amplify features, these changes to the view can be saved to be recalled conveniently when needed or set as default.

View settings are further customisable through the filter menu:

Switch the view to the Table version to access the more familiar task list table. The table is updated to introduce the new KanBan related attributes. The table view provides a way to make bulk changes to tasks.
If scheduling is turned on, a Gantt chart view will also be available. The familiar Amplify Gantt chart is updated to include the new KanBan related attributes.
All of these views are to be found under the new menu item "Planning". The Planning page provides a consolidated and convenient place for all work planning processes to be accessed and managed. Additionally, all of these processes are available without navigating to multiple pages, greatly increasing efficiency and visibility.
The Amplify KanBan feature also affords new visualisations for dashboards. At the program level, an overall task breakdown chart shows the general progress of all tasks. Navigating to a project offers an additional visualisation in the form of a burn-down chart. This chart shows a timeline of task creation and completion and serves as an indication of a project's trajectory.
Program level users will have access to a concentrated KanBan board that shows all reporting group and project KanBan boards on a single board. This board contains the same functionality as their individual components but allows a user to identify higher and lower performing projects.
To complement the new work planning structure, KanBan configuration is now under "Work Planning". In addition to enabling the Schedule, the KanBan can also be toggled on or off.
Configuring a program's KanBan board is simple:

The Amplify KanBan board is a powerful feature that provides benefits at every user level. Tasks have been given greater purpose and accountability without increasing the complexity of project management. KanBan can be utilised for all stages of a project - from planning, to execution, to completion. It's flexibility means it can be used as little or as critically as necessary without complicating or diluting the deliverables of a project.
