Upload Your Custom Dashboards Directly from the Admin Page
Previously, if you wanted to integrate a custom dashboard with Amplify, you would raise a support request and spend some time going back and forth with our analysts to get it added to the instance. From this version onwards, you'll be able to do this yourself.
We are introducing the ability to upload Power BI files directly from Amplify. Using the Power BI Reports settings page, you can now upload .pbix files to your Amplify instance.
Manage Your Firewall Rules
In August, we introduced a simple URL to help you whitelist a single IP address for access to the Amplify API. In this version, we are providing a complete in-app experience.
Our team has designed a nice new interface that enables Amplify administrators to adjust the firewall rules to allow your group's IP addresses.
This new form will permit you to include an IP address or an address range for the firewall rule to provide your team members access to the database instantly. You can also delete a rule if no longer required.
Option 1: Add a Single IP Address
If you want to add a single IP address to the firewall rule - that's easy to accomplish. Identify the IP address you want to allow access and list it in the Firewall & API tab.
Follow these steps.
- Navigate to the Firewall & API tab.
- Click on Quick Add My IP Address.
- In the Name field, enter the name you'd like to use to describe and distinguish the database-level firewall setting.
-
The IP address field will automatically fill with your current IP address. You can enter any IP address that you want to allow access.
- Save the setting.
Option 2: Add a Range
If it is a range that you want to add, click on the New rule button.
Create a Reporting API User from within Amplify
The Firewall & API tab also allows you to add user profiles that can access the reporting API.
The credentials that you specify will be used to create a database user with read-only access to all V2 views. Read more here.
Notify Users in Advance of an Upcoming Measurement Date
We made some improvements to the way notifications are displayed when the Upcoming Actuals Reminder setting is configured.
If this option is configured for the classification and you own the measure, you will be notified of the upcoming measurement (in addition to the total overdue measurements) a certain number of days before the due date of measurement.
Previously, the upcoming actuals reminder did not take the start day of the measurement period into account instead considered the number of days leading up to the end date of the measurement period and appeared before the measurement period ended. Hence, it was not really acting as an 'upcoming' measurement reminder.
Improvements done to this function will ensure that the notifications will appear a configured number of days prior to the start of the measurement period and not towards the end of it.
If email is configured and email notifications are enabled, you will receive a daily reminder email in the days leading up to the due date of measurement or, if it is overdue, until the configured number of days after the due date.
'Total' Columns on the Ledger View
The Ledger view will now display total values in the columns. For monthly ledger entries, there will be columns to display the quarterly aggregate, a yearly total and a grand total of all values. If data is captured yearly, you will only see the overall total. This feature is available on both Benefit and Cost Ledger views.
Benefit Owner Information on the Ledger View
We have updated the Benefit Ledger view to display the name of the benefit owner in one of the columns.
Improved Custom Fields Listing Page
We've made finding custom fields easier for you by implementing a few design changes to the custom fields listing page.
Issues Resolved
Issue key | Summary |
AMP - 852 | We fixed an issue where archived items were getting unarchived as part of updates via integration. |
AMP-861 | Default values are added to custom fields, even when the user hasn't explicitly set it. We have modified this behaviour. The default value set for a custom field will be utilised only when there is no complete form for the user to select a value as default explicitly. Learn about this behaviour here. |
AMP-862 | We have fixed an issue where the benefit progress calculation was inaccurate because the calculation triggered only if the actual entry is for the current time period. |
AMP - 884 | Setting the predecessor and successor item on the Task Edit form did not get submitted unless the user clicked on the plus button. We have fixed this issue. |
AMP-889 | The ROI value in the table on the Investment dashboard value was miscalculated. It subtracted the total costs from the reporting year's benefit value. The fix will ensure that ROI is calculated correctly as the total benefit - total cost. |
