Search functionality

Hi All,
Can the search functionality also look at the content/ value of the fields instead of only looking at objects/ fields?
For example, a user was looking for a specific text which should be part of a custom field input value. However, the search function did not bring up any result whereas that specific text was included in one of the custom field's input value.
