Amplify can be branded with your organization's logos and colors, so it matches your corporate design standards. Branding is set under Administration > Theme, and applies to everyone in your organization's Amplify.
This article covers both the Advanced and Simple Models. It needs Full Admin, or an admin role with the Theme area at Update. With Read, the page can be viewed but not changed. See Admin Roles.
What can be branded
- Navigation Logo — the logo in Amplify's side navigation.
- Report Logo — the logo at the top of downloadable reports. See Downloadable Reports.
- Colors — the brand color used for buttons, links and the side menu, and the colors of the data series in charts and totals.
Either logo, and the colors, can go back to Amplify's standard design at any time. Emails sent by Amplify always use the standard design.
The colors you can change
The Theme page has two sets of colors. Each is saved, and reset, on its own.
Theme Colour Settings:
- Primary — the brand color. It's used for buttons that create or save something, such as Create, for links, for the outline of the field you're typing in, and for the accent in the side menu.
Data Colours:
- Plan Data, Actual Data, Forecast Data and Baseline Data — the series of values in charts and totals. Plan Data is also used for budgets.
- Target Data — a goal's target series.
- FMO Data and CMO Data — the FMO and CMO series of advanced measures. In some views, these series take the place of the plan series.
- Positive, Warning, Negative and Primary — general colors in charts, such as pie charts and the NPV graph. They don't change the status colors used elsewhere in Amplify.
- Capacity Data, Demand Data, Allocation Data and Timesheet Data — the resource series in charts.
Colors that aren't changed keep Amplify's standard design. Other colors, such as status colors and page backgrounds, can't be changed.
Changing colors
To change colors:
- Navigate to Administration > Theme.
- Under Theme Colour Settings or Data Colours, enter the HEX code for each color you want to change, such as #1A73E8, or choose it with the color picker.
- Click Save and Apply in that section. The page reloads with the new colors.
Each section's Save and Apply saves only that section's colors. Where a code isn't a valid HEX color, nothing in that section is saved, and the field is marked. Colors can't be previewed before they're saved.
Check that text stays easy to read against the colors you choose, especially Primary, which is used for buttons and links throughout Amplify.
Resetting colors to the standard design
To reset a section's colors:
- Navigate to Administration > Theme.
- Click Reset to Default in the section. The page reloads with Amplify's standard colors for that section.
Resetting one section doesn't change the other section, or the logos. There's no confirmation step.
Changing a logo
The Navigation Logo and Report Logo are set under Logo Settings. The uploader crops each logo to a wide shape, three times as wide as it is high, so a wide logo with some empty space around its edge displays best. To change a logo:
- Navigate to Administration > Theme.
- Under Navigation Logo or Report Logo, select Upload Custom Logo.
- Upload the logo image.
- Crop the logo. The Preview shows how it will look.
- Click Save. The page reloads with the new logo.
Redeploy Reports After Update is ticked by default, so downloadable reports pick up a new report logo. To go back to Amplify's standard logo, select No Custom Logo, and click Save.
For other settings that apply across the instance, see Site Settings.
