Downloadable reports are formatted reports, such as PDF or Excel files, that users download from an initiative's Reports page. Administrators choose which of your organization's reports each type of initiative offers, the format each one downloads in first, and the quick print reports that download in one click from the top of an initiative or benefit. For downloading reports, see Downloadable Reports.
This article covers both the Advanced and Simple Models, and needs administrator access in the Advanced Model, or program administrator access in the Simple Model.
How reports are added to Amplify
Your organization's reports are built and added to Amplify by Amplify-Now. Adding, changing, and removing reports isn't available to administrators in your organization. To add a report, or change one, speak to your Customer Success Manager.
Once a report has been added, it's listed on the Reports tab of every initiative classification, or, in the Simple Model, of every program and project type, ready to be made available.
Making reports available in the Advanced Model
Reports are made available for each initiative classification, and are offered on every initiative of that classification. To make reports available:
- Navigate to Administration > Classifications.
- Click Edit next to the initiative classification.
- Click the Reports tab.
- Turn on Enable Reports. Your organization's reports are listed.
- Check each report users should be able to download. Use All or None to check or clear every report at once. Hover over the ? beside a report to see its description.
- For each checked report, choose its Default Format — the format its download button uses. The report's other formats are still offered from the arrow beside the button.
- Optionally, choose the quick print reports — see Setting the quick print reports.
- Click Save.
The tab shows how many of your organization's reports are checked. For the classification's other tabs, see Configuring Initiative Classifications (Advanced Model).
Making reports available in the Simple Model
In the Simple Model, reports are made available separately for the program itself, and for each of its project types.
For the program
To make reports available on the program:
- Navigate to your program.
- Open Configuration > Reports.
- Turn on Enable Reports. The change is saved straight away, and your organization's reports are listed.
- Check each report users should be able to download from the program.
- For each checked report, choose its Default Format.
- Optionally, choose the quick print reports — see Setting the quick print reports.
- Click Save.
For a project type
To make reports available on projects of a type:
- Navigate to your program.
- Open Configuration > Program Items > Projects.
- Click the edit icon next to the project type.
- Click the Reports tab.
- Turn on Enable Reports.
- Check each report users should be able to download from these projects.
- For each checked report, choose its Default Format.
- Optionally, choose the quick print reports.
- Click Save.
For the project type's other tabs, see Configuring Project Classifications (Simple Model).
Setting the quick print reports
A quick print report downloads in one click, from the report icon at the top of an initiative or benefit, without opening the Reports page. Each initiative classification, program, and project type can have two:
- Initiative Quick Print Report — downloaded from the top of each initiative.
- Benefit Quick Print Report — downloaded from the top of each benefit on these initiatives. Shown where it applies.
To set the quick print reports:
- On the Reports tab, check the reports you want to use.
- Choose a report from Initiative Quick Print Report, Benefit Quick Print Report, or both.
- Click Save.
Only reports that run without any options being chosen can be quick print reports. Reports that need options are greyed out. Leave either one empty to hide its report icon.
Who can download reports
A report is only offered on the Reports page of initiatives whose classification, program, or project type makes it available. Users also need the Reports permission in their team role to download reports — see Team Roles.
For downloading reports and quick print reports, see Downloadable Reports.
