An initiative's classification can support several strategic items, at any level of your hierarchy. Which of these are available depends on what's been enabled for that initiative's classification.
Initiatives
Every level of the hierarchy is itself an Initiative. New initiatives can be added beneath any existing one — see Creating a Hierarchy.
Items you can add to an initiative
Once enabled for the classification, each of these can be created and managed at that level:
- Benefits — positive or negative impacts to the business resulting from the initiative.
- Measures — the value series recorded against a benefit.
- Costs — budget, actuals, and forecast implementation costs for the initiative.
- RAID and Action Items — the risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies for the initiative, along with any action items raised against them.
- Goals — achievement targets that the initiative contributes toward.
- Tasks — the day-to-day actions and milestones that make up the initiative's schedule.
- Resources — the people, skills, or assets needed to deliver the initiative.
- Business Case — a structured record that captures the justification for an initiative.
Business Case is being phased out and will eventually be removed from Amplify entirely.
For the classification's other optional settings, including Documents, see Initiative Features.
