Enhanced Register Interface
We have enhanced the UI of the card, table and ledger views to optimise your register experience. This is the initial phase of many such innovative designs we are planning in the versions to follow. The new register interface renders a consistent layout across the card, table, and ledger views with added functions that allow you to manage your views easily, bulk archive items, and visualize data in your projects.
Here are a few significant changes that you'll notice.
- The names of all your saved views, irrespective of whether they are card, table, or ledger views, are displayed in a single list at the top left of the interface, making it easy for you to access them. Your current view name will be displayed by default in the aforementioned drop-down list. Clicking on the list will reveal your existing saved views.
- You will see three icons below the view selection list to switch between card, table and ledger views (for impacts). As a result, you will no longer require to go back to the submenu each time you switch views.
- Buttons to modify views placed at the top right-hand section. Clicking on this button will show you options to mark the view as a shared or default view or delete the view. For example, you can set one of your personal views or a shared global view as the default view for your register.
Note: The button to add new views (+) will be displayed upon switching to the table view. - An additional icon for the new project data visualization is displayed in limited availability, like on the initiatives page.
- Bulk archiving: Select multiple items from the card view and archive all of them in one go.
The new register interface displays when you click on projects, impacts or RAID items on the secondary menu bar.

The Data Visualization View
Among the register views, we have added a brand new view to help you visualize your data. Everything on the initiative/projects table view can be represented in coloured blocks (as a Waffle chart) and grouped and filtered by the data of your choice on the visualization view.
This view is toggled upon selecting the table view icon under the initiative/projects register. The upper half shows the visualization chart, and the lower half shows the data in a table. When you group and filter by different options, they get applied to the table.
Utilising the Group By and Filter fields on the left-hand side, you can create different levels of data visualizations. A certain colour represents each data point. You can use the Color By option on the right-hand side to filter data by a certain type of data, and since colours are used to represent data points, you are essentially filtering by different colours. Finally, when you have created the representation that you would like to use and reuse, you can save it as a view.
Feel free to explore the different grouping and filtering options along with the colour filters.
The new register interface will be made available to all instances automatically when upgrading to R21.6. However, the Visualization view will be an opt-in function with this release. To have this enabled on your instance, please email your request to support@amplify-now.com. Also, if you have comments and suggestions on the Data Visualization view, please let our support team know as well.

The Quick Create Button
Another handy addition to Amplify's improved user interface is a button on the top menu bar that allows you to create objects quickly. A single, easily locatable button at the top, providing you options to create all that you want to create in Amplify – program, projects, impacts, costs, RAID items, tasks, goals and scenarios. You don’t have to navigate to different pages looking for the New button anymore. Instead, simply hover your mouse pointer over the plus icon on the top menu bar, and a dropdown menu will display options to add every type of object at once.
However, it is worth noting that the options available in the menu depends upon which page you access it from. For example, when on the program dashboard, you'll see options to create projects, tasks and teams at all times, but goals and scenario options will be available only if they are enabled for the program. Similarly, when on a project dashboard, the quick create button menu will have the option to create tasks, but costs, impacts, but RAID items can be created only if they are enabled for the project.

Improved Bulk Emails
In addition to the changes we introduced ensuring reduced frequency of scheduled email notifications in the previous version, we are going one step further to ensure that you are not overwhelmed by the number of notifications received from Amplify.
Single Email per User for Pending and Overdue Measurements
Previously, Amplify sent separate emails for each overdue or pending measurement. If you are assigned multiple measurements, you receive an email for every single measurement pending or overdue.
After the current version upgrade, you will receive notifications about all your measurements in a single email. The upcoming and overdue notifications would still be separate emails, but it would list all measures you need to record in each email.
Overdue Notification Configuration Setting
Currently, the overdue measurements are triggered as soon as the deadline has passed. For example, if a measurement was due on July 31 it would be overdue on August 1. However, there are some use cases in which it is beneficial to be able to delay the notification until after a certain number of days after the actual deadline.
We have added a setting on the measure Edit form, which will make this possible. You can now control the length of time the system should wait when a measurement is overdue before triggering the notification email. The Measurement Schedule Overdue Period will capture the number of days after the measurement due date that the system should wait before sending the overdue notification.
