Amplify starts from the benefit's plan. Periods that already have an actual are forecast at that actual, and later periods at their plan values. Where nothing adjusts it, the forecast is the same as the plan.
Two classification settings adjust it. Both are off unless an administrator turns them on:
- Enable Actual affected Forecast — the latest actual's difference from plan is added to every later period. A benefit 20 below plan is forecast 20 below plan from then on.
- Allow Milestone delays to be accounted for in Forecast calculation — where a linked milestone is later than in the active baseline, later periods move back by the largest delay. Values moved past the end date are dropped.
Where the classification's Enable Forecast setting is Manual, you enter the forecast yourself, and Amplify doesn't calculate it.
