The Kanban board can be viewed in two modes. These are column progress and owner views. You can switch views at any time, switching the view does not affect any of the tasks or the configuration.
You can toggle between the views using the tool on the toolbar. Its appearance will change depending on which view you are in.
Column Progress view | Owner view |
Column Progress view
This is the default view for your Kanban board. Each column on the board represents a sequence of progression from left to right.
This view is most useful for changing the progress status of a task quickly. Simply click and drag a task to another column to update the progress status.
Owner view
The owner view places an emphasis on resource oversight. Each column represents a potential task owner for the current project.
This view is most useful for identifying workloads and redistributing tasks amongst owners quickly. This view helps identify owners who may be over- or under-utilised based on their amount of tasks and how far they've progressed.
Each task in this view is colour coded to match the column progress types so no information is lost.
