Once enabled, the Project Brief can be accessed from the initiative side menu. It will be the first item in the menu. Keep in mind, only users with permission to Read or Update the Project Brief will see this item.
The Project Brief is divided into three sections: Stage Gate widget, Initiative Properties, and Stage Section.
Stage Gate Widget
The Stage Gate widget is present on every stage of the Project Brief and behaves similarly to the Performance Dashboard with some extra features.
The Stage Gate widget can now be used to navigate to previous states of the Project Brief. At every gate approval, a baseline is taken for the Project Brief. By viewing previously approved stages, the Project Brief will display the data that was recorded then. This data is immutable and is for reviewing purposes only.
When scrolling through the Project Brief, this widget, along with the Initiative title, will stick to the top of the page for easier navigation and recognition.
Initiative Properties
The next section is also present on every stage. This section contains the fields that are typically found in the Initiative Properties page.
These fields won't be recorded in the Project Brief baselines.
Stage Section
This is where all the work in Project Brief is done. Each stage in the active Stage Gate Process will have its own layout and can only be edited while in that stage.
The Stage Section is comprised of 'Widgets'. Each widget represents an item from the Amplify software and can be updated as usual. There are two classes of widgets: custom fields, and items. Each widget is synchronised with it's counterpart in the greater Initiative
See our page on Widgets for more information about each one.
