Stage Gate Baselines

While Amplify is primarily a real-time live data application, it is possible to take snapshots of data for reference with certain actions, creating a Baseline.

Stage Gate Processes can be configured to record a baseline at each gate approval and progression. These Stage Gate baselines can then be referenced in other initiative areas, like the schedule or registers.

Enabling Baselines

To enable the Baseline feature:

1. Navigate to the Initiative Classification Configuration.
2. Navigate to the Baseline section.
   
   
   
   
3. Turn on the toggle Enable Baselines then click Save.

Enable Stage Gate Process Baselines

With Baselines enabled, the Stage Gate Process needs to be configured to decide when a baseline is recorded. To do this:

1. Navigate to the Stage Gate Configuration.
2. Within the options for each stage there is an option Record Baseline.
   
   
   
   
3. Turn this on for each stage to record a baseline when this stage receives approval.

Recorded baselines can be viewed via the Properties page for the relevant initiative.
