Amplify™ is structured around a hierarchy of initiatives. Each initiative in the hierarchy can have its own naming convention and properties including child/sub-initiatives. The screenshot below, which shows an Enterprise-level view, comprising 4 top-level initiatives, including a Business Transformation Portfolio and a Capital Works Program. The Capital Works Program has 4 midlevel sub-programs, which in turn have initiatives below them.
The hierarchy symbol located in the secondary menu ( allows you to locate your initiative on the hierarchy. Click on
to view all the Initiatives (standard and user-customised), Benefits, Goals, Objectives, Assumptions and Risks within your Enterprise.
The Hierarchy dashboard presents:
- Search Feature: This will allow you to search the entire enterprise for a keyword, as well as highlighting its path. Press 's' on the keyboard and type in the keyword in the search box.
- Highlight Path Toggle: Switch this on and off to highlight only the path to a desired Hierarchical Map Element
- Quick Filters: The Expand All button ( ) will display all hierarchical map element checkboxes below it. The Fit to Screen button ( ) will present the current state of the hierarchy on the screen. The filter drop-down ( )placed on the top left allows you to filter out only those elements that you want to see on the hierarchy. Click on this drop-down and select which elements will be visible on the hierarchy; Initiatives (standard and user-customised), Benefits, Goals, Objectives, Assumptions and Risks. Uncheck any of these in order to exclude them from your hierarchical view.
Clicking on hierarchical map elements + or - sign will expand or contract it's path respectively.
Scroll your mouse anywhere in the hierarchy to zoom in or zoom out. Drag the hierarchy up/down/left/right to change the part of the hierarchy that is shown on your screen. To navigate to the page specific to an element, click on its name.
To close the hierarchy view, click on the close button ( x
.
