Two types of risks can be documented using Amplify - delivery or realisation risks.
Delivery risk is any event that can potentially cause the project delivery date to be pushed forward—for example, a delay in securing a stage-gate approval.
Realisation risk is a situation that will prevent the complete realisation of the benefit. For example, termination of a key business unit's employment contracts ahead of time due to an unexpected reason, incurring additional expenses.
As a project manager or a responsible team member, you will need to know beforehand the possible events that can affect your project's successful completion. Amplify utilises different interface areas to alert you of an impending risk of delivery or realisation.
Realisation risks linked to impacts/benefits are displayed on the Benefit dashboard.
Delivery risks that have been linked to a project task will be marked on the Gantt chart.
The New RAID item form allows you to indicate what type it is using an option button.
The RAID form also allows capturing mitigation strategies that will avoid the event or control the situation.
