Amplify's standard workflows can be enabled and configured to fit the processes of your organisation. You can utilise the following workflow types:

Specific Action Workflows:

• Benefit/Measure Actual Approval — approval of actual values recorded against a benefit or measure.
• Total Benefit Plan Approval — approval of changes to a benefit's plan values.
• Total Benefit Forecast Approval — approval of changes to a benefit's forecast values.
• Dependency Workflow - to get approval on task dependencies.
• Milestone Approval Workflow- to get voting on a benefit milestone.

💡 Note these workflow type names follow your instance's own terminology. Where Benefit has been renamed to Impact, they read as Impact/Measure Actual Approval, Total Impact Plan Approval and Total Impact Forecast Approval.

Plan, Actual and Forecast changes are each governed by their own workflow type rather than sharing one. When creating a new workflow, Benefit/Measure Actual Approval is the type available to select; the Plan and Forecast types apply to the workflows already configured in your instance.

Approval of actual values is also controlled per benefit classification. A benefit only requires actual approval where its classification has a workflow assigned in the Workflow field of its Actual section — see Benefit Type Classification.

General Approvals:

• Benefit Workflow - to approve a benefit
• Business Case Workflow - to sign off a business case
• Initiative Workflow - to approve a new initiative
• Measure Workflow- approval behaviour for measures is governed by the Benefit/Measure Actual Approval workflow type listed above.

Stage Gate Approval:

• To progress an initiative through different stages by creating approval steps at each gate.

Status Report Approval:

• To allow different areas of the organization to provide feedback on or approve a status report.
