The register visualization view displays upon accessing the table view under the initiative/projects register. It represents the whole of the initiative data at the current level in the form of a block graph, where each block represents a data point, which is a project or initiative.
The underlying data is displayed in the table below the visualization.
To toggle off the visualization and display only the table view, click .
If you hover over a block, you will see links to access the underlying data in the table view, open the corresponding project/initiative data in a new tab and an option to add a filter.
The visualization view has filter and grouping options that you can utilise to extract information in formats that fit your requirements.
Use the Group By option to render your visualization grouped by a certain type of data. For example, if you wish to see projects grouped by the stage they are currently in, select 'Current Stage' in the Group By selection list.
You can further filter your grouped data. By default, the filter is set to show all active projects. If you wish to include inactive projects in your visualization, you will need to modify the filter settings.
To set filters:
- In the Filter By section, click Add Filter to display the Filter By Criteria form.
- Select a criterion of your choice from the Criteria field.
You can further define your output by setting filter parameters. - Click Apply when you're satisfied with the settings. To clear the filter, click on the refresh button next to the Apply Filter button.
Use the Color By filter to see coloured graphs. A colour represents each Color By filter criteria. When you filter by certain criteria, the graph shows data filtered by different colours. You can also click on the colours in the legend to hide or show that data.
When you have created the representation that you would like to use and reuse, you can save it as a view.
