When creating a new Program, the option Duplicate Existing Configuration can allow you to reuse the configuration of an existing program. This allows you to implement new programs more rapidly when they have a similar structure.
Duplicating a program configuration includes:
- All configuration options
- Roles & permissions
Duplication will not include:
- Teams and, subsequently, the team members
- Program data related to program items (projects, benefits, cost, etc)
This option is only available when:
- At least one program already exists, and
- The user attempting the duplication has full permissions for another program
Only programs the creator has full permissions to will be available to duplicate.
Duplicating Program Configuration
To create a new program using the configuration of another:
- Click on New in the top toolbar to open the quick create menu.
- Click on Program in the list.
- A sidesheet will open. Click on the toggle next to Duplicate Existing Configuration to turn it on.
- A new option will be revealed, Programs. This dropdown contains a list of all the Programs you can duplicate the configuration from.
- After selecting a Program, click Create.
- A new program will be created and will be pre-configured using the selected program as a template.
