RAID Types or Classifications can represent risk, assumption, issue or dependency.
If you want users to record RAID items in the projects within, you will need to enable it for the program. This will allow you access to the default RAID types and the end-users access to RAID registers in their projects.
For each classification, you may need to configure different settings to fit the specific requirements of different projects in your program. As a program administrator, you can define different RAID types or classifications. The RAID Items menu item within Program Items (Configuration) allows you to do this.
You can use this page to:
- enable RAID items
- define new RAID types or classifications
- modify RAID type definitions
- remove a RAID classification
Enabling RAID Items
When you enable RAID, Amplify will automatically enable RAID registers in all projects.
To enable RAID items:
- Access the Program.
- From the program menu, select Configuration.
The Configuration menu opens. - Click on the Program Items menu item and then RAID Items.
- Click on Enable RAID Items.
You have now successfully enabled RAID items in your program. If you want to modify the settings of any RAID item classification, now you will be able to do so using the Edit "pen" icon. End-users will now be able to see the RAID menu.
Defining New RAID Classifications
If you wish to create risk, assumption, issue or dependency classification with a different set of configurations, you will need to define a new classification.
To define a new RAID classification:
- Access the Program.
- From the Side nav Menu, select Configuration.
- Click on the Program Items and then RAID Items.
- Click New RAID Type.
- Name the classification.
- Select a colour that will be used to represent it in Amplify.
- If you want to create a dependency classification, enable Allow objects of this type to represent Dependencies.
- Choose whether the risk rating mechanism should be Simple or Calculated using the Enable Rating setting.
- Click Save to save the settings.
The Properties and Advanced tab will be enabled after the settings on the General Configuration tab are saved. - Click on the Properties tab to define custom fields that will appear on the RAID form. The steps are similar to the process outlined here.
Removing a RAID Type
Removing a RAID type will also delete all items of that RAID type existing in the program.
To remove a RAID type:
- Access the Program.
- From the Side nav menu, select Configuration.
The Configuration menu opens. - Click on the Program Items menu item and then RAID Items.
- Locate the RAID items that you wish to delete.
- Click on the Edit "pen" icon and select the Advanced tab.
- Click on the Remove button.
This will bring up a confirmation window. - Click Delete to confirm the action.
