This article will guide you through the process of using Tasks and Milestones within RAID Items (Risks & other RAID Item types). This new feature allows you to break down complex RAID Items into manageable steps, improving clarity and accountability in your strategic planning and execution. By creating RAID Tasks and Milestones within a RAID Item, you can assign specific tasks, track status, and ensure a structured approach to resolving issues and mitigating risks.

RAID Tasks and Milestones on RAID Items follow the familiar Open or Closed status process, allowing you to easily take a stepwise approach to addressing your RAID Item by closing off individual steps.

Important Note: RAID Tasks and Milestones on RAID Items are currently only supported within the Advanced Amplify Model.

Enabling RAID Tasks and Milestones on the RAID Item Classification

1. Click on My Account.
2. Select Administration (Only users with Admin privileges will see this menu item).
3. Go to Classifications.
   
4. Create a new RAID Item Classification OR select the existing RAID Item Classification to which you want to add RAID Tasks and Milestones.
   
5. Enable the Allow RAID Tasks and Milestones checkbox.
   
6. Save your RAID Item Classification.

Interacting with RAID Tasks and Milestones

Interacting with RAID Tasks and Milestones on RAID Items require Update permissions to RAID Items. Additionally, to interact with them on the Schedule you require Schedule Update access.

Adding RAID Tasks and Milestones

Once your RAID Item is created you are able to add RAID Tasks and Milestones directly on the RAID Item.

1. Open your RAID Item either in a side sheet, or by going directly to the Edit page for the RAID Item.
2. Click the New Task button.
   
3. Name your Task.
4. Repeat until you have added all your RAID Tasks and Milestones.
5. 
6. Save your RAID Item.

Editing RAID Tasks and Milestones

You can edit existing RAID Tasks and Milestones directly on the RAID Item or through the Schedule.

RAID Item

1. Open your RAID Item either in a side sheet, or by going directly to the Edit page for the RAID Item.
2. Update any of the fields on your RAID Tasks and Milestones.
3. Save your RAID Item.

Schedule

1. Ensure RAID Items are enabled under the Filter button.
2. Edit the fields in the different columns for the RAID Tasks and Milestones.
3. Save your Schedule.

OR

1. Ensure RAID Items are enabled under the Filter button.
   
2. Right click on the RAID Task or Milestone.
3. Select Edit.
   
4. Make your edits.
5. Click Update.
   
6. Save your Schedule.

Deleting RAID Tasks and Milestones

You can delete existing RAID Tasks and Milestones directly on the RAID Item or through the Schedule.

RAID Item

1. Open your RAID Item either in a side sheet, or by going directly to the Edit page for the RAID Item.
2. Right click on your RAID Task or Milestone.
3. Select Delete Task.
   
4. Save your RAID Item.

Schedule

1. Ensure RAID Items are enabled under the Filter button.
2. Right click on the RAID Task or Milestone.
3. Select Delete Task.
   
4. Save your Schedule.
