Standard dashboards are the built-in dashboards on every initiative and project, opened from Dashboards on the initiative's side menu. Each focuses on one side of how the initiative is going — performance, value, stage, cost and benefit, or return — and needs no setting up beyond choosing which are available.
This article covers both the Advanced and Simple Models. Which dashboards are available is set for each initiative classification, or for the program and each project type — see Choosing which dashboards are available.
The standard dashboards
- Value — the initiative's benefits and costs over time, for it and every initiative beneath it, with filters and saved views. See Value Dashboard.
- Performance — how the initiative is going overall: its stage gate, schedule progress, benefits delivered, the status of everything within it, threats to delivery, and pending approvals. See Performance Dashboard.
- Project — a snapshot of the initiative's benefits, costs, and RAID items, and the benefits that depend on its milestones. See Project Dashboard.
- Process — the benefits and costs of the initiatives beneath this one at each stage of the stage gate process. See Process Dashboard.
- Reporting — a pivot table of benefit or cost values by period, to save as a view or export. See Reporting Dashboard.
- NPV — the initiative's net present value over time, and its payback period. See NPV Dashboard.
- ROI — the initiative's costs against its benefit return, and the return on investment of the initiatives beneath it. It relies on the Benefit Map, which is being phased out. See ROI Dashboard.
- Properties — the initiative's fields, and sections such as its goals, baselines, and scenarios. See Managing Initiatives.
Benefits and goals have their own dashboards, on the Dashboard tab of each benefit or goal. See Managing Benefits and Managing Goals.
Several dashboards show an initiative's or benefit's Amplify Index — a score of how well it's tracking against its plan. The Performance Dashboard's Benefit Status Overview colors each benefit by that score — see Performance Dashboard.
