Measure permissions are tied to benefit permissions. There are 3 types of measures:
- Local Benefit Measures
- Initiative Measures
- Enterprise Measures
Local Benefit Measures
The most common type of measure, local benefit measures are automatically created when a simple benefit is created and inherit the same settings (eg. measurement unit, resolution, duration etc) as that benefit.
Users that have 'Full' or 'Update' access permissions to benefits are able to access and edit a local benefit measure.
Initiative Measures
Initiative measures are standalone measures that are created under an initiative to be used in calculating Advanced Benefits for that initiative.
Users that have 'Full' or 'Update' access permissions to benefits are able to create and edit these types of measures and use them in benefit formulas.
Enterprise Measures
Enterprise measures are another type of standalone measure that are created at the Enterprise and can be used in calculating Advanced Benefits across the entire organization. These are common measures that are shared across many benefits (eg. conversion or discount rates).
Users that have 'Full' or 'Update' access permissions to benefits at the Enterprise are exclusively able to create these types of measures. Users with 'Full' or 'Update' permissions to benefits on initiatives are still able to use them in benefit formulas, although they will be unable to edit the measure series data.
Measure Owners have 'Update' access to measures they own. This does not automatically grant them 'Update' access to the benefit where the measure is used.
Benefit Owners have 'Update' access to both the benefit they own and any local or initiative measures linked to the benefit. If the Benefit Owner also has 'Full' or 'Update' access permissions to benefits at the Enterprise, they will be able to edit Enterprise Measures linked to their benefit.
