Amplify's two-factor authentication feature allows you to set up an additional authentication factor other than your user credentials to access Amplify. This will ensure that your account is protected by an extra layer of verification in the form of a verification code - a string of random numbers automatically generated by an authentication app on your phone. Once you have set up two-factor authentication, you will need to enter the verification code in addition to your user name and password to log in to Amplify.
The option to configure it is available on the My Accounts page.
Amplify administrators can enforce two-factor authentication for all users if required. If not enforced by your admin, you can choose to opt out at any time.
To set up two-factor authentications, you'll need to download and install an authentication app like the Google Authenticator, Authy 2FA or Microsoft Authenticator on your phone.
This article covers:
- Enabling two-factor authentication for your account
- Logging in using two-factor authentication
- Disabling two-factor authentication
- Using backup codes to log in if you can’t access the authenticator app

If you have lost your phone or do not have access to the authentication app, you'll need your backup codes to log in. See Using Backup Codes.
Disabling Two-Factor Authentication
