Amplify assigns a unique internally generated identifier to each object that you create. For example, initiatives, benefits, measures, RAID items, all have Amplify IDs. The easy way to find this ID is to look at the address bar when the object details page is open. In the below screenshot, 238 is the Amplify ID of the initiative.
When you know the ID of an object, you can access it by typing it in the search bar. Please note that the same ID can be assigned to different types of objects. For example, there can be a benefit, a risk and an initiative with the ID '238'. You will be able to select the desired object from the list of matched items easily because the classification to which each matching result belongs, is displayed in the result window on the far right (see below screenshot).
If your organisation maintains IDs for projects or benefits in a different format, you can add them in Amplify while creating them. For this, you will have to configure the Enable External ID setting in the corresponding initiative or benefit classification. External IDs will be visible in the Initiative and benefit edit forms as well as in the table views and will be maintained in addition to the Amplify ID.
