You can lock the Benefit Plan values for all Benefits linked to a specific Initiative on the approval of a defined stage in your Stage Gate Process. This will prevent any edits being made to the Plan values of Benefits that have been approved as part of the Initiative.

How to Configure your Stage Gate Process

1. Go to your Stage Gate Process (For Classic model this can be found in Administration, and for Program model this can be found under the Program Configuration).
2. From the Lock Benefit Plan Values drop down select at which stage you want to lock your values.
3. Click Save.

Locking the Plan Value

Now once the Initiatives using the specified Stage Gate Process get approved, the Plan values of all the linked Benefits get locked.

If the Benefit Plan values have to be updated, then the Initiative will need to be reverted to the stage on which the Plan values are locked. The values can be updated and the Initiative approved, with the correct Benefit Plan locked again.

Admins can edit locked Plan/Budget values

Benefit, Measure or Cost series values that have been locked by either the Stage Gate Process setting or respective series Classification settings can alternatively be edited by Administrators via the front-end or Fastload; allowing slight adjustments to the Benefit Plan or Cost Budget without the need for re-approval of a stage.
