New Features
Scheduling
Schedule Templates
Build an initiative schedule from a reusable template instead of assembling it task by task.
Schedule templates are configured against an Initiative Classification, so each type of initiative carries its own standard task structure. A template can be applied automatically when an initiative is created, or applied manually to an existing schedule at any point.
Task dates are anchored to a chosen Start Date rather than fixed calendar dates, and a template's stage-gate milestones replace the defaults on the schedule it's applied to.
π‘ This means teams stop rebuilding the same schedule from scratch every time, and every initiative of a given type starts from the same agreed structure β making plans comparable across a portfolio and cutting setup time on new work.
Costs
Cost Bowler Chart: Colour-Coded Variance for Costs
See cost health at a glance instead of interpreting the raw numbers.
Cost ledgers and the Project Brief cost widget now show colour-coded variance, giving PMOs and Finance an immediate read on where costs are tracking.
Thresholds and the favourable direction are configured per Cost Category, so each category can define what "good" looks like for it. Hovering a value shows a tooltip with the variance expressed as a percentage from Budget.
This mirrors the Benefit ledger bowler chart introduced in 26.8. The Cost Plan tab and the Value Dashboard ledger are out of scope for this initial release.
π‘ This means cost overruns surface immediately in review meetings rather than staying buried in a ledger, so conversations start on the numbers that actually need attention.
Benefits & Approvals
Actual Approval Workflow per Benefit Classification
Require sign-off on the benefit values that matter, and skip it on the ones that don't.
Approval of benefit actual values can now be switched on or off per benefit classification, rather than applying uniformly across every benefit.
Alongside this, Plan, Actual and Forecast changes are separated into their own distinct approval workflows instead of sharing a single one β so each type of change can be governed independently.
π‘ This means organisations that want sign-off on financial impacts but not on non-financial KPIs can finally have both, without forcing unnecessary approval steps onto teams tracking softer measures.
Tasks
Task Board Saved Views Β BETA
π§ͺ This feature is in Beta and needs to be enabled manually for your organization. If you're interested in participating in the beta, reach out to your Customer Success Manager to have it enabled in your sandbox environment for testing. From the next release (26.10), Task Board Saved Views becomes the standard experience for everyone β turning it on now simply means getting it early, and having your feedback shape it.
Save the way you work on the Task Board, and open straight into it.
The Task Board gains saved views, bringing it to parity with Table and Ledger views. You can create, edit, apply and delete your own views, and set one as your default so the board opens the way you work.
Visibility and scoping permissions control who can see which saved view, so a view can be kept personal or shared out deliberately rather than by default.
π‘ This means people who work the same board every day stop re-applying the same filters, columns and grouping each session, and teams can standardise on a shared view of their work.
Administration & Security
Configurable Admin Roles
Give administrators exactly the access their job needs β and nothing more.
Business Admin and Technical Admin are no longer fixed categories. They become configurable Admin Roles that Full Admins create, edit and assign.
Each role carries a permission level of None, Read, Update or Full for each administration area β including Manage Users, Classifications, Custom Fields, Workflows, Stage Gate Processes, Ratings, Integrations, Firewall & API and Amplify Intelligence. An area set to None disappears from the Administration menu entirely for that user.
The change ships with a restructured three-tab Teams & Roles page, reworked Manage Users, Edit User and Team Membership screens, and a data migration that seeds existing instances with equivalent Business Admin and Technical Admin roles β so nobody's access changes on upgrade.
π‘ This means the long-standing choice between over-privileging an administrator and blocking them from doing their work goes away β access can be shaped to the role rather than to a fixed category.
Enhancements
Benefits & Costs
Benefit Bowler Chart: Forecast-to-Plan Variance
See a benefit drifting while it's still a forecast.
The Benefit Ledger bowler chart now signals variance between Forecast and Plan, in addition to the Plan-versus-Actual comparison introduced in 26.8.
Drift can be picked up while it's still a forecast, rather than only once actuals have landed and the variance is already realised.
π‘ This means benefit owners get an earlier warning that a benefit is slipping, at a point where there's still time to do something about it.
Tasks
Task Board Card & Column Layout BETA
π§ͺ This feature is in Beta and needs to be enabled manually for your organization. If you're interested in participating in the beta, reach out to your Customer Success Manager to have it enabled in your sandbox environment for testing. From the next release (26.10), every Task Board moves to the new card and column layout β turning it on now simply means getting there early, and having your feedback shape it.
A refreshed Task Board that's faster to scan.
The Task Board's cards and columns have a refreshed layout, tightening up how work reads on the board.
Card field content and behaviour have been updated alongside the layout, so the information on each card is the information people actually use when scanning a board.
π‘ This means the board is easier to work from day to day, particularly for teams running large numbers of tasks.
Integrations & API
Series API v2: Parent Relationships
Series data keeps its link to the parent record all the way into your data warehouse.
A new /restapi/v2/series endpoint returns parent_id and parent_type in the response body alongside the series data, instead of leaving the parent relationship only in the request parameters, where it was lost on ingestion.
It applies to all four supported parent types β Cost, Benefit, Resource Demand and Resource Capacity β plus measure_series, which reports a parent type of Measure. This lands additively as v2; v1 is unchanged, so existing integrations keep working exactly as they do today.
π‘ This means teams pulling Amplify data into a warehouse keep the link between a series and its parent record, so their reporting doesn't need custom logic to stitch the relationship back together.
Administration
Teams & Roles Structure Update
Compare permissions across roles in one grid, and edit without navigating away.
Administration > Teams & Roles is now a three-tab page β Admin Roles (new), Team Roles and Shared Teams β replacing the single combined Teams and Shared Teams page.
Each tab uses a grid table with role permissions displayed as columns, and creating or editing a role has moved out of full pages into side sheets. Team Roles is the landing tab, and the Admin Roles tab is visible only to Full Admins.
π‘ This means administrators can see and compare permissions across roles side by side, and make changes without losing their place by navigating away to a separate page.
